Strengthen
community ties and persuasive writing skills with
this "Spook-tacular" Halloween activity!
To set the stage, read aloud and discuss several
real-estate ads. Invite students to explain why
some ads appeal to them more than others. Then
have students brainstorm the kinds of things that
ghosts, goblins, and other Halloween creatures might
look for in a house. Instruct each youngster to
use these ideas to write and illustrate an ad for a
haunted house. |
