Danielle's
Parents stopped by to surprise her for her
birthday! Danielle's mom shared an Anansi Folktale
titled Brother Anansi and the Cattle Ranch by
James De Sauza and Harriet Rohmer. What a great
book to go with our reading story, Anansi and the
Talking Melon! We love reading about this
trickster!
Nurse
Michelle and Joshua's mom stopped by to be our 3rd
Mystery Reader and to read us Germs Make Me Sick
by Melvin Berger. She couldn't have picked a
better book! We've had quite a few students out
sick this week. We learned 8 steps to keeping
healthy. We'll start by remembering to keep our
hands out of our mouths and remembering to wash our
hands before eating and after the restroom. We're
using our GermX too!
Mr.
Bateman, assistant principal at BCMS and father to one
of our classmates surprised my class on Friday when he
dropped in to be Mystery Reader #2. The class
roared with laughter as he read Pigs by Robert
Munsch! It was so much fun!
We
had our first Mystery Reader! Mrs. Madere
stopped by and her son was very surprised. Mrs.
Madere read us two great stories, The Three Billy
Goats Gruff and Just a Friendly Old Troll.
The books told opposite points of view of what
happened when the goats tried to cross the
bridge.
