Spelling Activities

Often teachers spend large amounts of teaching and learning time on spelling.  It's important to keep a balance on the amount of time spent on phonics, spelling or word work.  For a second grade classroom there needs to be about 30-45 minutes per day spent on word work.  Spelling lessons should also focus on
